Skee Ball

Released in:

Arguably the most popular and enduring arcade game ever made, Skee Ball was invented in 1908 in Philadelphia, PA. The first alleys were 36 feet long, which required significant strength to roll the balls up into the target. When shorter 14-foot alleys were introduced in 1928, it became easier to play, and Skee Ball’s popularity surged. In 1936, the first coin-operated model arrived, and in the 1950s, ticket dispensers were added to the game. Modern digital Skee Ball alleys are still being manufactured, and they can be found in almost every arcade and amusement park. With a history of more than 100 years entertaining millions of people, it is likely that Skee Ball will continue to bring joy to many future generations.
