Joker Poker - D. Gottlieb & Co

Joker Poker

Released in:

1978

Joker Poker was released in August with a production run of 820 units. The solid-state version of the game had 9,280 units fabricated. Ed Krynski designed the game with artwork by Gordon Morison. Gottlieb was known for being the “king” of card games from the ‘50s on and this game was no exception. The game is a shooter’s game of accurate shots for the best results. At the start of each game, the yellow arrow resets to the 10 card. With each additional ball, the arrow advances up the combination list of options. If you were good enough to make the lit combinations, big points ensued. A double bonus feature was incorporated into the game. A maximum bonus of 30,000 points could be obtained on a good ball. No firsts here, but a lot of skill was required to manipulate the three flippers to successfully pop a free game.
